Orion194 Flat Platen Sorter

Automated Inspection & Sorting of Self-Standing Parts

 

Six Sigma Concepts has partnered with Resec Systems to produce the Orion194, a modernization of Resec’s J194 platen sorter. The main purpose of the modernization is to allow the platform to run Six Sigma Concept's InGage™ software. Redesigns have also allowed for the platform to utilize lenses with larger imaging fields.

The Orion194 analyzes the side profile image of each part as it transits through the inspection field. An optional top camera allows for the inspection part's ID and OD profiles. The rotating glass platen transports parts to the inspection and sorting positions while allowing through inspection.

• Sorting Rate: ≤36,000 parts per hour
• Side & Top Profile Analysis
• Accuracy: ±0.0001" (Lens Dependent)
• Option for ID Thread/Chamfer Checking Smart Camera.

​For Parts That:

• Are self-standing cylindrical parts, like bearings, bushings, rings, and inserts.
• Are OAL ≤ 1.6" & OD ≤ 1.3".*

*Can be set to accommodate other part size ranges.
